Going to Court
Sometimes when we do something new and we do not know what is going to happen, we get nervous or scared. This is true for both adults and children. We all like to feel comfortable with the people we are around and the places we go. One experience that is new to most people is going to court. Court School is meant to help children who are victims or witnesses to a crime become familiar with the judicial process, and know more about what to expect. Using courtroom models, books, color pages and puzzles, our court school will help children understand what happens in court and who the people are that they will meet or see. Rusk County CAC offers court school to children in Rusk County and Panola County.
